  • Why PLH Charity Chooses Not to Feature Our Young Beneficiaries

At PLH Charity, we believe generosity should lift people up not place them on display.

You may notice that our social media, newsletters, and event coverage focus on donors, partners, programs, impact statistics, and stories of hope but never the faces or names of the young adults whose lives are changed because of your generosity.

That choice is intentional and essential to our mission.

Below are the top 10 reasons we choose to protect anonymity and dignity over publicity.

    1. Their dignity matters more than our marketing
    2. Trauma does not belong on display
    3. We never want gratitude to feel like obligation
    4. Safety always comes first
    5. Their story belongs to them not to us
    6. We want their future to be wide open
    7. Impact should be measured by outcomes — not applause
    8. We refuse to exploit poverty or struggle
    9. Trust is the foundation of everything we do
    10. Love doesn’t need a spotlight

How We Share Impact Without Sharing Identities

    You will continue to see:

    • anonymized success stories
    • program updates and outcomes
    • statistics that show real progress
    • stories told in composite or first person formats with details changed to protect privacy
    • highlights of donors, volunteers, and partners who make the work possible

We will always celebrate the impact while protecting the people.

    Thank You for Trusting Us

Your kindness helps young adults find stability, confidence, education, and opportunity.

And your trust allows us to honor them with discretion.

Together, we can build futures grounded in dignity — where generosity lifts quietly and powerfully, without ever putting anyone on display.

Stand With Us in Protecting Dignity

If this approach resonates with you, we invite you to:

    • Support the mission your donation directly fuels programs that change lives while preserving privacy.
    • Share our message help others understand why anonymity matters.
    • Get involved volunteer, attend an event, or introduce us to someone who believes in compassionate impact.

Every act of generosity big or small helps us continue doing this work the right way.

👉 Join us, give with heart, and help us protect dignity while changing lives.

A little bit about the event…

The Peace, Love and Happiness Event was conceived in 2002 while two bikers were riding through the Texas Hill Country. During a pit-stop at Poodies Hill Top, John Paul Dejoria and Gary Spellman decided to take a stand after hearing how horribly an Austin Police Officer was being criticized for risking his life to save another. That day, Peace*Love*Happiness was born.

They would go on to create an event that helped and supported the families of fallen peace officers and any and all abused and neglected children.

This event raises more than $50,000 for The Club each year.

PLH Ride 2025 – A great weekend for a great cause.

The 23rd Annual PLH ride is in the books. A large group of free-spirited – and caring – PLHers dedicated the weekend to the PLH Charity and its mission of preventing homelessness one young adult at a time…while also supporting the Texas 100 Club of Central Texas.

Friday evening everyone gathered at the Star Hill Ranch for BBQ and music. The food was provided by Verde’s Mexican Parilla – and JP’s Bandero tequila freely flowed the entire evening. And the musical guests included Dakota Spellman.

Saturday morning a rumbling pack of bikes departed the Sonesta Hotel in Bee Cave for the “Magical Mystery Ride”. Ride Captain Joe P. led the pack through the backroads of the beautiful Texas Hill Country, ending up at the Reveille Peak Ranch shooting range. There the group was briefed by Sheepdog Response instructors and each rider was allowed to select a 3-gun pistol, rifle, or shotgun, and go to town under just about the highest pro supervision on the planet. It was a perfect way to blow off some steam. The group then ended the 4 hour ride at the inimitable Poodies Road House for beers, burgers, and music.

Sunday was the final ride. The even larger pack of beautiful bikes started again at the Sonesta, and this time were escorted by 15 or so Travis County Sheriff motorcycle officers. After a couple of hours of great riding in gorgeous weather, the day ended at Verde’s for more good times and good food.

  • Celebrating 2024 and 22 years of Giving Back: A Journey of Peace, Love, and Happiness

Celebrating 2024 and 22 years of Giving Back: A Journey of Peace, Love, and Happiness

As we reflect on the past 22 years at Peace Love Happiness Charity, we are filled with gratitude and inspiration. Our journey has been marked by unwavering commitment to supporting our first responders, veterans, and those who often go unheard. Together, we have created a community dedicated to healing, empowerment, and compassion.

    Honoring Our First Responders

One of our core missions has been to support our courageous first responders and their families —those who put their lives on the line every day to keep our communities safe. We understand the immense pressure they face and the toll it can take on their mental and emotional well-being. Through various initiatives, we have provided resources, counseling, and financial assistance to help ease their struggles. Knowing that we can provide a comforting hand in their time of need has been incredibly rewarding.

    Supporting Our Veterans

Our veterans deserve our utmost respect and support. Many have faced hardships after serving our country, including homelessness and mental health challenges. Over the years, we have been privileged to offer a helping hand through housing assistance, job placement programs, and mental health resources. The smiles on their faces and the stories of transformation fuel our passion and commitment. There is nothing more fulfilling than witnessing a veteran regain their footing and thrive in their newfound independence.

Giving a Voice to the Voiceless

At Peace Love Happiness, we believe that everyone deserves to be heard. Many individuals in our community struggle with homelessness, addiction, and mental health issues, often feeling invisible and isolated. Our charity has worked tirelessly to amplify their voices and bring attention to their needs. Through advocacy, outreach programs, and partnerships with local organizations, we strive to create a more inclusive society. Every story shared, every connection made, reinforces our belief in the power of community.

    A Heartfelt Thank You

None of this would have been possible without the unwavering support of our donors, volunteers, and partners. Your generosity has enabled us to continue our work and expand our reach. Whether it’s a small contribution or a large donation, each act of kindness has a profound impact on the lives we touch. Thank you for believing in our mission, for standing alongside us, and for helping us make a difference in the world.

    Looking Ahead

As we celebrate this milestone, we are excited for what the future holds. Our commitment to fostering peace, love, and happiness remains steadfast. We will continue to improve our programs, reach out to those in need, and be there for those who need us . Together, we can create a brighter future for our first responders, veterans, and our entire community.

Here’s to many more years of making a difference, one life at a time. Thank you for being an integral part of our journey!

    With love and gratitude,

The Peace Love Happiness Charity Team

    Have an outrageously good day

    Gary Spellman
