AUSTIN TEXAS – SINCE 2002
Started on a two-lane highway.
Still headed somewhere better.
WHERE IT STARTED
2002 · Poodie’s Hilltop, Texas Hill Country
Two riders — John Paul DeJoria and his longtime friend Gary Spellman — stopped for gas in the Hill Country and heard how an Austin police officer was being criticized for risking his life to save someone else’s. They decided that wasn’t right. That day, Peace*Love*Happiness was born: a charity motorcycle ride supporting the families of fallen peace officers and abused or neglected children. Over the years, it has grown to support the physical and mental health of our first responders, along with preventing homelessness — one young adult at a time.
25 YEARS OF SERVICE
Same heart. Ever-growing mission.
We’ve always had the same heart. It’s just a bigger mission — because our focus was never just one cause.”
For more than 25 years, Peace*Love*Happiness has supported the families of our fallen and active first responders, veterans, women and children in crisis, the Native American community, and the disability community.
That same heart now also drives our newest focus: preventing homelessness among young adults, met through six essential needs. The instinct has never changed — show up for people the system was supposed to protect and didn’t.
